The Buttermarket’s prominent Victorian entrance on Middlegate is a focal point of the town and provides an attractive gateway linking the vibrant Middlegate through to the attractive and bustling famous Market Place, which operates Monday, Wednesday and Thursday each week.
The Buttermarket was recently acquired by Newark & Sherwood District Council and has benefitted from extensive refurbishment which has attracted occupiers such as Specsavers, Tambo Lounge (Loungers) and Iguazu.
Newark & Sherwood District Council continue to invest significantly into the scheme by fully refurbishing both the atrium and the former public house to provide an attractive and flexible space suitable for a variety of exciting potential uses.
Access to the first floor will be provided by both a new focal staircase and DDA compliant passenger lift. The former public house will also be accessed via Chain Lane.
