Hammerson and Town Centre Securities have planning permission to regenerate an 8.5 hectare site around the Eastgate and Harewood Quarters in the centre of Leeds. The development will provide 100,000 m² of retail and leisure facilities, including two anchor stores, John Lewis and Marks & Spencer, 10 flagship retail units, 130 retail and restaurant units, up to 600 residential units and 2,700 parking spaces. A new public realm is to be created comprising open spaces, public squares, enhanced pedestrian access and linkages. The scheme was masterplanned by Terry Farrell and Leslie Jones Architects
