The site opened in 2004, with a two-sided mall design recreating the high street, a new concept for shopping parks in the UK. The flexibility of the design allows for a greater range of unit sizes which, when combined with the location of the scheme, provides a superior shopping environment designed to attract the more sophisticated retailer traditionally found in town centres.The scheme also has a resolution to grant planning consent for a further 175,000 sq ft of retail accommodation, subject to completion of a section 75 agreement. This development is to be anchored by an 80,000 sq ft unit pre-let to Marks & Spencer.
