Built on two levels within a cresent- shaped mall Meadowhall has a total leasable area of 1.4 million square feet.A further development is set to transform the area situated around the Meadowhall Shopping Centre in Sheffield. Outline planning consent was received in May 2009 for up to 2.2 million sq ft of mixed use accommodation. The scheme will include residential, office and mixed use accommodation, a new riverside park and a range of measures to enhance the biodiversity of the area and is intended to act as a catalyst for the wider regeneration of the Lower Don Valley. Development will be brought forward on a phased basis.
