The Northgate Shopping Centre should be completed in 2011.It will provide a new vibrant quarter for Chester on what is primarily back land and proposes a high quality design solution with a mix of uses in a permeable and accessible setting. The Northgate Development Area stretches from Watergate Street at its southern border up to New Hunter Street and the Odeon cinema to the north. Dec 2012 Cheshire West and Chester Council purchased ING Real Estate's 85% holding in the £300m scheme.
