It is anticipated that the scheme could comprise a collection of buildings set in a series of new streets and squares. The total floorspace could be 1.5 million to 2 million square feet with a variety of different uses. The scale of the development will result in a long term development programme, with work not anticipated to start on site until 2014.
The potential Paradise Circus site that is being investigated lies between Centenary and Chamberlain Squares and includes existing buildings such as the Copthorne Hotel, Conservatoire, Birmingham Central Library and Paradise Forum.
