The Bristol and Bath region features research and commercial strengths in aerospace, defence, micro-electronics, digital design and green technologies. SPark will provide a professional and supportive environment for collaboration between universities and businesses, to enable them to accelerate the commercialisation of new and applied technologies.

Located in a pivotal position at Emersons Green, SPark is 15 miles from Bath City Centre, 8 miles from Bristol and close to junctions 19 and 20 of the M4. This gives the 54 acre Science Park direct links to London, Birmingham overseas through Bristol and Heathrow international airports. The national rail network is accessed from Bristol Parkway Station, 4 miles away.

SPark is a partnership between the universities of Bath, Bristol and the West of England, the South West Regional Development Agency and Quantum Property Partnership. It is a 15 year, £300m development with planning permission for 77,000 sq m (830,000 sq ft) of floorspace. A hotel and conference centre will be developed during the first five years. Rolls Royce, Hewlett Packard, BAE Systems, GKN, Airbus, the MOD and the North Bristol NHS Trust are located within a few miles of SPark, making it an ideal corporate location.
